UK Grid will shortly be opening a new colocation suite in the most established carrier independent facility in Europe, Telehouse North.
UK Grid currently has 360 racks in Manchester and this further expansion will allow it to offer new and existing customers a truely redundant dual site colocation option. Both locations are connected by low cost protected tier 1 Long Range Ethernet with Internet connectivity available.
Each of the racks in Telehouse comes with A plus B power as standard and are located in a secure cage accessible only via UK Grid and it's customers.
Telehouse North has a multitude of carriers within and UK Grid can offer direct peering with Level3 and it's own multihomed IP transit network as well as organising connectivity to carriers within Telehouse and to other London data centres.
